That Clinches It.
The United Nations says
humans are responsible for global warming!*
If so, I hope we hurry before my local Ross outlet runs out of cheap wool socks: do you have any idea what it's like to run around on size fives during a SoCal cold snap?
* Standard disclaimer: I am aware that some of the U.N. humanitarian missions are stunningly successful, just as I support a lot of the work done by some of our left-leaning NGOs in, for example, Southeast Asia. But when I look at the oil-for-food scandal, child prostitution in Africa, and the way Kofi and others have been vigorously and fraudulently lining their own pockets, it's hard to see the United Nations in the same light it appeared in when I was a kid.

Right on. I still remember the looming Ice age that was predicted in the late 70's. I'm still wondering where that one went. Bottom line is humans always need to have a big bad doomsday scenario thing in the future. Not sure why. I can't wait until we move on to another disaster scenario. I'm tired of this one. Global warming has become its own cottage industry. Plus it's just so cool to mouth the correct line on GW and so uncool to dare to mention that perhaps the sun is heating the earth to a greater degree (pun intended), or that overall ice coverage is increasing in the southern hemisphere. I'm always interested in how PC it has all become.

Aw, Kofi, Kofi.
How would one go about satirizing you? You do that
yourself.

The U.N. and Guantanamo Bay
Look, we all have our opinions about the U.N. But they are the closest thing we have to enforcers of international law, and we should at least take what they say seriously.
Therefore, if they call on us to shut down our holding cells at Gitmo, it's important for us to at least consider it.
After some thought, I've concluded that we should indeed get rid of the Guantanamo Bay prisons, just as soon as the U.N. (1) discontinues its graft operations and (2) confines its pimping to women who are over the age of 18.

I'm so glad to see Dr. Myra Vanderhood is back! I thought we scared her away. She did her seminal work in Denmark, by the way, so she's on the front line of the toon war/buy Danish/free speech debate. I don't know about her involvement at Gitmo for sure, but I'm sure the UN would be opposed to it. Let freedom ring! And don't answer right away, wait for the Pherotones(tm) to work their magic! PsyOps is looking into this seriously, I'm sure.

Joy,
I'll add #3 to your list: As soon as Castro and the other dictators condemning our actions treat their political prisoners as well as we treat the Gitmo terrorists...

View the tapes of her lectures...She asks the question on her students' minds..."How do you quantify an orgasm?" Well, Doc, ....let me count the ways...Just when I thought EuroScience was sliding down the slippery slope toward the junk category. I see a Nobel in her future!

Oh, she's a scientist, all right. The real deal.
Though I wouldn't write off the Europeans in that regard. Not yet.
