Usually when I discuss my experiences on so-called "feminist" websites I'm referred to as a "troll," labeled "anti-choice," and disregarded by the kids I'm attempting to warn that this is a "choice" you would do well to avoid.
It's apparently quite shocking that some of us really do think it should be "safe, legal, and rare."

I don't really care about abortion one way or another, currently in South Dakota on business from Seattle,(talk about polar opposites) and am amused about how worked up they are about it in this state.
The topic I would request you explore is rather abortion is left as a choice or not, the much bigger issue is the fact that your side is simply running out of doctors who will peform the procedure. Few if any med students are learning to perform the procedure, the average age of an abortion doc is over 50, it is a non insurance paid procedure with possible consequences to those who perform.
This is what is going to stop abortion much more than any legislation.

How funny. Because the thing I resent as a middle-class chick from a large metropolitan area who went to college, is the relentless pressure to reflexively have an abortion without thinking about it. For some reason those who come from more conservative families seem even more prone to the "let's have an abortion, and that way we can pretend this never happened" problem.
The reason neither side trusts the other to counsel girls/women objectively is that they are right: counseling is almost always biased toward one side or the other.

pro-choice for the most part means
any choice you like, so long as it is an abortion.

They just had an election yesterday in South Dakota, the candidates that wanted to moderate this state's abortion stand, life of mother,incest, were overwhelmingly. One was an incumbent. Do you have any thoughts on my point about running of doctors to perform the procedure should it remain legal?

I have some real mixed feelings about the incest/rape exceptions, because I know some pro-life people who want abortion illegal but want there to be these exceptions. I have trouble with that point of view philosophically, because to me it suggests that they aren't as interested in preserving the life of the embryo/fetus as they are in punishing the pregnant woman by forcing her to carry it to term.
If you have the stance that this is a human life, and it should carry as much moral weight as any other human life, how do you justify exceptions for rape and incest? Thoughts?

That is exactly how the voters of South Dakota viewed it, 4 incumbents were defeated because they wanted the exception of rape, incest and life of the mother. This I feel is a harbinger of what you are going to find across the US. USA Today had a front page story showing over 35 states outlawing or severely limiting abortion when Roe is overturned. I still haven't heard your thoughts on the dearth of abortion doctor's.
