4 it troubles me that the comments at the linked site were more about Rhodes' appearance than her ideas. ad hominem arguments are always weak, and these -- like aspersions cast on Hillary's looks instead of her policies -- are troublingly mean and shallow, not to mention unfeminist. Just as attacks on Linda Tripp's looks took precedence over the fact that she was a vile and manipulative tool of a preposterous witch hunt. (Oh, sure, Clinton had his faults, but having sex with plump brunettes was not worth that much taxpayer money, and the Starr Report demeaned American politics.) As it so wisely says on this site, above each comment in progress, Attack ideas, not people.

5 Randi Rhodes has "ideas?" Which ones? "What a whore Geraldine Ferraro is! She's such a fucking whore!" She then proceeded to say, "Hillary is a big fucking whore, too" to a mixed audience reaction. "You know why she's a big fucking whore? Because her deal is always, 'Read the fine print, asshole!'" Or..."Eliot Spitzer got a 22 year old aspiring singer?" Did Rhodes miss all the press coverage concerning the fact that Ashley Youmans (the real name of "Kristen," a.k.a Ashley Alexandra Dupré) from the Jersey Shore is actually 32??? And why would she say something she knew NOT to be true? To make a point? And what does that say about her point? Or...Her rant about Nixon, Reagan, and Cheney being anti-Semites? Maybe someone should tell Ms Rhodes that the Israelis credit Richard Nixon with saving Israel during the Yom Kippur war. Seems to me I read that they even have a monument there attesting to that fact. May she should visit the Daily Kos or DU and see what anti-Semites really look and sound like. Or??? Her idea to use an incident where she fell on her face after drinking fourteen Ketel One Bloody Marys to portray herself as a victim of Right-Wing hate squads? She only put a stop to it days later after it became apparent how many witnesses there were to the incident. Go ahead. Put forward her ideas. Then duck.
