Seaside Roundezvous
I was out at Malibu today, having a panini sandwich from a quaint deli at one of the shopping centers there, and wondering what it was in the air in Malibu and Santa Monica that gives one such a sense of well-being. Is it the sea breeze?--or is it the smell of money?

There is something energizing about the seabreeze.

Yes.
OTOH, being in surroundings wherein everyone seems calm, and untroubled, and not worried about money at all--that can be energizing as well.

It's the breeze. Totally. It changes EVERYTHING.
Oh and one more nit picky sort of thing:
Panini is plural for panino. A panino is a sandwich so all you have to say is that you ate a panino. Then you can look with disdain on all the unwashed heathens that surround you. :-)

Around now you'll be noting that I have no dexterity with languages other than English. Fact is, I've had the same problem with the word "graffiti," which simply doesn't feel like a plural: I have difficulties saying, "I saw this offensive graffito on my way over here."
FWIW it's the sandwich shop that calls the sandwich a "Panini sandwich." Perhaps because the sandwiches are all made, collectively, from little rolls . . . and the proprietors don't speak Italian any better than mine.
