3 How funny that you should say that. I was thinking that he looked like he was getting older, but in the good way--the way that women still can't get by with. I think as he spoke I had some sort of flashback to watching Barnaby Jones, and seeing Buddy Ebsen narrow those well-lined eyes. There's tremendous cleverness and an indominable will behind them. Not to mention the folksiness of FRED! explaining, "this isn't my first time at the rodeo." He has that fluentness that people utterly despised in Reagan--right up to the moment of voting for him.
