The Anchoress on Hillary.

The blogger suggests that Mrs. C. might end up crying in public, but I don't thinnk she'll go that far to "humanize" herself, or steal her husband's favorite trick in such a fashion. (And, of course, if she bit her lower lip she might get lipstick on her teeth, so that's too risky.)

And yet, despite how disgusting this whole spectacle is—Hillary getting Pakistan wrong, and the media giving her a pass on it—I could still see voting for Clinton if the GOP nominates someone who's even worse, such as Huckabee.

I'll do it, too: don't make me pull that trigger.

1 Don't worry. You're finger's not going to get any exercise.

2 I know you can't possibly be agreeing with this Attila, after all Huckabee and all got Pakistan wrong, that is just the level of politics in the States, remember Bush did not care about who the general was and still got elected. I just find it funny when for the thousandth time Mitt has to say my church also believes in the same values and we believe in the same Jesus Christ our lord and Savior just like the rest of you. And the camera goes on the audience and they are looking at him as if he is from another planet. I think the voters like Huckabee precisely because he does not care to say the right thing. He gets more milage by appearing to be a Paki-basher. And Mitt could easily be a Muslim saying we believe in the same Jesus too!

3 Remember: Bush got the outline of the situation correct; he was just blocking the name. And Pakistan was not a blazing-hot issue, like it is now.

4 Saying that Muslims believe in the same Jesus is as intellectually honest as saying that Hermann Wilhelm Göring believed in the same Hiter as Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill. And you know, Azmat, that I'll start quoting the Qur'an, don't you? For the record, I do not know who Andy Hiller is, nor do I care. I do know WHAT he is, though--as I do with today's crop of "Democrats". So would Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill.

5 I believe that Muslims adhere to the "people of the cloth" sensibility once they've demonstrated that they are not Jew-haters. Until I see that, I tend to be wary, and assume that they may perceive me and my Hebraic brethren as infidels--or worse.

6 Well...it's a week later, did you bet any money? :-) I'm glad you got p0wned on this one. Looks like you've got a great place here and I wouldn't have found it if you hadn't made this call SO far off-the-mark. Well hey, it happens to everybody, if it didn't then predictions wouldn't be any fun.

7 I did NOT say Hillary wouldn't win New Hampshire. I said she screwed up on her background re: the Pakistani elections. And I said that I could consider voting for her.
