2 Yeah. I wrote that before I heard Bush's press conference. He's willing to sacrifice the economy to keep the peace. What a shame.

3 Nixon + dem congress didn't equal gridlock. I think that Bush will work out this compromise: give the Dems what they want domestically, while attempting to stay the course in Iraq. Exactly the opposite of what the "divided gov libertarians" wanted.

4 I think Bush will make modifications in Iraq; he just won't cut and run. He will let entitlement spending grow; I'm only hoping that with the economy gaining steam we can absorb the damage done.
