I know you've never gone a full week before without hearing from me—or at least a guest blogger—but it apppears you all survived, or you wouldn't be pestering me with suggestions that I was kidnapped by aliens and have secretly been replaced with an alien 'droid.

That's exactly what an alien 'droid would say!
Note to aliens...Got any prototypes around?

Joy (if that is you...),
I can't wait to see what it is you come up with to prove you are a human. This deployed soldier has some interesting ideas (just joking!).
Glad to see you back up,

I found the Condi link on your site. good information for interested people.
Here are some tidbits from the Columbus Dispatch showing the discussion of 2008 is really on the minds of people and it is great that so many support Condi.
Clinton, McCain are OhioansÂ’ early favorites for 2008
By Darrel Rowland
The Columbus Dispatch
Tuesday, May 2, 2006
If you think we've seen a bruising primary election campaign in Ohio this year, just wait until 2008.
That's when the Buckeye State is again expected to occupy the center of the political universe in the presidential election. It will be the first White House contest in more than 50 years without a sitting president or vice president.
Already, seven possible candidates are drawing double-digit support from registered Ohio Democrats and Republicans, a new Dispatch Poll shows.
....the list of Ohioans' early favorites can provide a baseline for White House hopefuls in a key electoral state.
Right now, the frontrunners are a pair of highly recognizable senators who've created controversy within their own parties: John McCain of Arizona and Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.
Listed as the favorite by 37 percent of Democrats, Clinton leads the duo from the party's 2004 ticket; former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards got 23 percent, while 19 percent say Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry should get a do-over.
Things are more spread out among GOP voters. McCain topped the list of 31 percent. But the pack on his heels includes former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani, 25 percent; Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, 21 percent; and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, 10 percent.
The early leaders all have their problems, political commentator Robert Novak observed during a visit to Columbus last week.
Clinton is such a polarizing figure that she is not only the favorite of the Democrats but the Republicans as well, Novak said. Edwards talks about two Americas but lives in an estate himself. McCain "is a little old to be running for president" and "a little quirky." Guiliani is friendly toward abortion and gay rights, and went through an ugly break-up with his former wife.
"You think he's going to win the Republican nomination? I don't think so," Novak said.
.... many Ohio Democrats who like Clinton are skeptical she can win, so they are backing other candidates.
"I would love to see Hillary, but I don't think that it's her time," said Natalie Hilbert, 44, of Springfield, a TV engineer. "I really supported John Kerry but I don't think this country supports someone after they've ran and lost. ....
Judy ..., said she's a big Clinton fan but doubts her electability.
....a 49-year-old manager in the rubber industry, said she voted for Kerry in 2004 and sees no reason not to do so again. A resident of Pleasant Township near Toledo, Leader said she's also impressed with Clinton.
"I think (Kerry) is still a viable candidate," Leader said. "His congressional record would still be my first choice. I don't think the world -- even though she would be my second choice -- is ready for Hillary."
.......Rice draws praise from Doug ..., 49, of Hamilton, an officer with a building materials company.
"She's very well-read and not ashamed to express her opinion," he said. "She's not someone who's in the political mainstream and that appeals to me. I am worried about people who choose politics as a career."

I'm with Jack. This is a time all good citizens must stand up and say, Let's know the TRUTH! Let's be SURE! And if not:
Who are you, and what have you done with Little Miss Attila?

k? Don't you live in Florida? That's where that show "Invasion" is set, isn't it? How do we know You didn't swim towards the light in the water during the hurricane? How's your new body? Seems like a great deal to me--complete replication, down to your memories, and a perfect body for your troubles. Save me one one those aliens, please! Now we must figure out k's 'hidden agenda' and decide if she included a 'little surprise' along with this year's box of mangoes to LMA... Cherchez la 'k'?
