Is Islamic Reformation Possible?

One woman asks the Islamic world to please figure it out. Soon.

1 Sure, Islamic reformation is possible. That's probably what Salafism is. The question is, is Islamic reformation in a more liberal direction possible? That's far less certain.

2 Reformation is of course possible, but who is to reform Islam? Itself or the rest of the world? Self reformation is of course the only answer because outside reformation can easily turn to an attempt to destroy, for example the reformation of the Catholic Church was not from within the Church and quickly became a movement to destroy and plunder. Islam is at a crossroads and it realizes that as well as anyone. It either must expand exponentially and take over the world or it must wither and suffer massive defection of its follows and it may face repression and persecution from 'the world.' Today France announced the expulsion of twelve 'preachers of hate' from France. In addition France castigated the British for failure to deport a British Imam who masterminded a mass murder in France ten years ago. The decent: Muslim and non-Muslim alike are stirring to do something about the Muslim murderers who for the most part run free about the planet.
