1 I think McCain was saying "Asshole" in place of "feminist." Straight-talking. Who doesn't like it?

2 The word "feminist" has almost as many meanings as the word "nigger." I will still apply the term "feminist" to myself if the context makes it clear that I'm speaking of what Darleen calls (IIRC) "equity feminism." That more or less means get out of my way, don't presume I'm an idiot, and don't assume I'm a weakling. Pay me appropriately for the stuff I do. But there's a lot of other stuff--some of it pretty destructive--one can unpack from the term.
