Just Repeat After Me . . .

"there's no such thing as bad publicity."

And, of course, no place like home.

1 Blog Tag is afoot...I was tagged by Phoenix Lady, at http:;//phoenix-rising.townhall.com. To learn about this infectious game, just go to my site. I was reluctant but decided to break with my conservative instincts. Best, Philip Mella, Editor ClearCommentary.com

2 I assume you were alluding to NASA and the lady astro-nut. I think that story explores the outer limits of the publicity theory. -Bob

3 Phil, If you are a Conservative, you owe at least a $20 hit to the LMA tip jar for a stunt like that! If you are posing as one, better make it $40. . .

4 My guess is you are talking about that Pandagon sage that was hired by Edwards. . . Then fired. Then rehired after being made to stipulate that everything she said over the last two years was "just an f***ing joke!" Am I right? And Bob. . . Watch what you say about my "Sweetie"! It was just a joke! Some people have no sense of humor!

5 It's not much publicity to all the non-weblog readers who asked, "Marcotte who?"

6 The great thing is that the joke will be on Edwards soon enough, when the blogmistresses go ape on his blog in future, and the average American starts to wonder about what the guy stands for. The Nutroots doesn't have enough disciples to get Edwards elected. Fortunately. Mentally insert plenty of F words in the above (short) paragraph.

7 And it's an uneasy fit--what with the multiple mansions and whatnot. Even if there were enough far-lefties out there--and they were organized enough to pull it off--turnout would suffer because the guy isn't at all what he's posing as. Though, of course, that act has worked for Teddy K for a number of years--so it's possible I'm full of shit. Possible.

8 "Say what they want to hear, then do whatever you want." Attributed to Paris Hilton, but applies to Edwards and Kennedy. -Bob

9 Your quote is what Paris Hilton's publicist said to her when the video became public knowledge.
