What else am I reading? Well, I'm re-reading this, because it's so soothing. That is, I've read it before, and the story of all the activities that went on under the public radar in the wake of 9/11 somehow reassure me. Even the failures, like Tora Bora, make me consider the possibility that we never wanted to talk UBL out in the first place. At least, it leads me to believe that we learned a lot from the things that went wrong.

Also, I like ordnance. Can I get a witness on that?

Aliens love ordnance!
Proof is going to be harder than you think, because you have all of LMA's memories. So far, according to "Invasion," the only ways to tell are: 1) a change in behavior; 2) Love of water and the ability to stay submerged for long periods of time; 3) quick healing; 4) Giving birth to a large number of glowing creatures that make their way to the water; and 5) the ability to sense a hurricane before any notice.

Can we hear it, MOAB, yeah!
I believe that the administration was afraid to go into Tora Bora because it was a heavly defended stronghold with terrible terrain where a LOT of troops could have been lost. That is why they used the locals. Familiar with the area and their draped caskets wouldn't be on CNN.
I heard that one of the possible weapons that 'could' be used on Iran is something being developed in area 51. Don't have a name, but it is described as "Thunderbolts of the Gods". A low orbit space plane is launched from the US. It flies anywhere near the target. Drops specially developed guided bombs that can with stand the heat and can penetrate deeply into the ground. The sensors in the bombs can actually tell when they enter a hollow room because of the change in velocity,... BOOM. The description comes from how they look when they hit. Coming down at supersonic speed they are white hot and look like just a flash of light when they hit and go boom.
We will see, maybe, if this is just propaganda, rumor, or Iran going back to oil age.

Funny you should mention that. This is next on my list of desired reading materials:

There was a video someone posted somewhere a while back that was a long string of video clips of atmospheric nuclear weapons tests from the fifties and sixties, set to some heavy metal background music. Does that count as "ordnance"?
I have to admit, that vid gave me a serious woody. Which I'm sure qualifies me as a full member of the right-wing warmongering wack-job brigade. ;-P
