Ethan Winner Produced that Lying Video About Palin and the Alaska Independence Party.
Apparently, though, he did it on his own time, with his own money, and
out of the goodness of his heart.
He hasn't paid the voiceover actress, yet: apparently, she hasn't yet "invoiced" him. And he didn't identify himself as the producer, because he . . . I dunno. I guess he forgot or something.
No word why his father/CEO or his colleague-in-the-family's PR firm also created You Tube accounts and attempted to promote the video. Nor why it came to the attention of sites like dKos or Jesus' General, where it was openly promoted there as a good "dirty trick" that the Left ought to disseminate as aggressively as possible.
It seems to me that Winner and Associates is the real-life equivalent of the Jodie Foster character in "Inside Man": 100% amoral, completely mercenary, and able to fix just about any problem—for the right price.
So . . . now that they've been outed, on a scheme that might just be violation of FEC rules, can they fix themselves?

As Ace points out, it took them 15 hours to come up with the plan/response that Ace predicted they'd use
before they started pulling the videos.
Don't sound too...efficient to me.

A commenter at Ace also pointed out that they pulled this videos about an hour after Rusty posted (an amazingly fast response time unless someone tipped you off) due to claimed 'threats' received. In order to believe that, someone would've had to track down Winner's personal contact info AND call in a 'threat' about 15-20 minutes after Rusty posted.... at like midnight. Riiiiiiight.

Adding to Rusty's great work, check out the ad from the official Obama ad, the voice from the hit piece, and the voice of an actress in Chicago. Are they the same?

If they are the same, then Ethan Winner is lying. He said he did this all by himself and hired the actress from a talent agency because he liked her voice. He is in Los Angeles. Why would he hire talent from Chicago? Hmmm, let's think about it.......who lives and works in Chicago and specializes in astroturfing?

Hmmm, obviously you don't know how the voice world works, chicago, LA, NY, budapest.. voice talent are all over and can voice from their tiny basements in wherever.. I can tell you that is not the same voice... bank on that
