Happy Fourth of July!
Those founding dudes were, like . . . smarter than the average bear, unless I'm mistaken.
Anyway, I'm still swamped with work-work, but I shall ask one provocative question, then go sleep for a while and come back to check in with my e-homies . . .
Which vegetarian hamburgers are palatable? Which ones even actually taste good? I'm especially interested in hearing from non-vegetarians on this issue, because I have a THEORY. So you need to feed me DATA. It's all very SCIENTIFICAL.
Oh, right: Question #2 would be something like--
If you do believe (as I do) that Thomas Jeffereson, et al. achieved some sort of real breakthrough in human governance, which of the founding fathers was the biggest genius? Who contributed most significantly to the things we like about the U.S.?

Boca veggie burgers(roasted onion) are passable, especially if you fix them the same as your favorite beef burger. Or just throw one on top of your junior BK Whopper.

1 Lentil Loafs from Trader Joes. Although not technically a burger, they are faux ground beef and put forty pounds on me when I was a vegetarian.
2 Aaron Burr revolutionary war hero, aide de camp of Washington and prominent New York politician. He was the last man to stand up for the integrity of the Electoral College and shot Alexander Hamilton then returned to his job as Vice President thereby showing us how the founders truly interpreted the 2nd Amendment. His arrest for treason showed up Jefferson for the ingenuous, duplicitous Hypocrite he was. A great man, a better shot and sadly forgotten.

Did I mention he favored the education of women, set up the first clean water supply for New York and supported the right of free African Americans to vote.
Mr. Madison kept a journal of the proceedings of the constitutional convention after swearing not to and thus created the legal playground of constitutional interpretation we now struggle with. His last words were, "I'm more comfortable lying."

George Washington, by setting a grand example to the ones who followed in his footsteps he single handedly destroyed the idea of an Imperial Presidency.
Washington could have easily have set himself up as the first President for Life in world history but he deliberately declined that honor even though it was offered to him. By stepping down after two terms he set an example for the peaceful transition of power that was unique in the political world of the 18th century and, unfortunately, still uncommonly rare in the world of the 21st.

The Dr. Praeger brand (TexMex or California style) from Trader Joe is pretty good, just be sure you grill or broil them long enough to put some crunch on 'em.
