2 I'll try, Az. 1) Mallick was wrong to refer to Palin as "white trash." She was wrong to refer to her appearance as a "toned-down" version of a porn actress' look. (Furthermore, I'm not even sure what that means, particularly in reference to a woman who wears glasses and usually ties her hair up in a bun.) 2) Her critics were often wrong. Greta Van Susteran's repeated use of the word "pig" was out of line. Certainly the Muslim-baiting and Jew-baiting that Mallick endured were just as uncalled-for (and just as irrational/nonsensical) as her original remarks. We who are right-of-center have to do a better job of controlling our tempers: we must recognize the overreactions on the other side, and see them as indications that they fear this woman's political talents and sound instincts. We must try not to be goaded into overreacting ourselves. Mallick was over the line, and so were a lot of her critics.

And If you said that someone else said that I was white trash, well you should use some quotation marks, but if they are absent I would still understand. I do like the accurate "permenantly alarmed expression" Reminds me of a few women in the news lately.
