Obama: A Single-Termer?

That's how I've been seeing it, but people from Chicago seem to be more depressed by this than I am.

1 I suspected, starting from when Obama had the election in the bag, that Obama's political future consists of two steps: 1) Make the US more subordinate to the UN. 2) Make himself head of the UN. He is clearly the first US president in a long time with a shot at the role, and if he castrates the US, the world community will be glad to have him in that role.

2 I'm optomistic that the media will give us a clear picture of what's going on. Isn't that what they did when John Sununu was out there for Bush-41, telling everbody that the economy was growing and the future looked bright? This will be sold as the Bush Depression of 2008. Obama will get credit for any improvement; Bush will take the blame for any downside. I better go. The Obama special moment of the day will be on the TV news soon. I don't want to miss a second. Failing magazines should come out with a special Obama edition. Maybe those will sell out like the Sunday major dailies in most big cities. Save ten copies of the second printing for me, Those will come in handy if we have a brutal Winter. And if we don't, you know what Shania Twain said about using one sheet.
